Job Summary

As Industrial Supply Chain Director (M/F) on a cutting-edge Bordeaux Campus, you will lead all logistics flows from procurement to customer delivery, ensuring compliance, quality, and punctuality in a regulated and international environment. You will pilot the SiOP process to harmonize industrial site loads and capacities, optimize stock levels, and play a key role in industrial performance and customer satisfaction. You will also manage a global Supply Chain team of 200 people across France, Singapore, and Canada.

Must Have

  • Pilot all logistics flows from procurement to customer delivery, ensuring compliance, quality, and punctuality.
  • Pilot the SiOP process to harmonize industrial site loads and capacities while meeting customer needs and ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Play a key role in industrial performance and customer satisfaction, ensuring supply chain robustness and resilience.
  • Lead a Global Supply Chain team of 200 people based in France, Singapore, and Canada.
  • Define and implement the Supply Chain strategy in line with industrial strategy and client requirements.
  • Manage all Supply Chain functions: logistics, procurement, supplier relations, planning, and scheduling.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of Supply Chain professions (resources, means, investments, processes).
  • Deploy and improve performance indicators: OTD, supplier SOTD, stock levels, security coverage.
  • Manage logistics budgets and control costs.
  • Manage logistics capacity investments (stockers, racks, internal/external storage space).
  • Optimize external supply chain costs: external warehouse and transport.
  • Manage export control and customs with specialized teams.
  • Ensure material availability to prevent production line stoppages through effective standards and routines.
  • Contribute to improving supplier performance by defining and optimizing flows and management methods.
  • Pilot the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process to align production with commercial forecasts and industrial capacities.
  • Plan all needs, including spare parts and repairs, in the Procurement and Production Plan using ERP.
  • Coordinate flows between different industrial sites and partners.
  • Ensure the use of best planning and execution practices.
  • Supervise and lead Supply Chain teams (planning, logistics, procurement, transport, customs, methods).
  • Develop technical and managerial skills of employees.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and adherence to aeronautical standards.
  • Manage interfaces of the entity (other Thales sites, end clients, purchasing, sales administration).
  • Implement high-performance digital tools.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects (Lean Manufacturing, Insight, Kanban, VSM).
  • Integrate sustainability challenges: reducing logistics carbon footprint, optimizing packaging, responsible transport.
  • Ensure stock levels match APRU needs and contribute to continuous improvement to reduce work-in-progress, stocks, and lead-time.
  • Significant experience (around fifteen years) in Supply Chain professions.
  • Mastery of Production processes, Repair processes, industrial management control, and the MYB process.
  • Knowledge of stock management and flow management methodologies, and experience implementing continuous improvement and steering tools.
  • Ability to unite, influence, and work in an international environment.
  • Appetite for ERPs.

On a cutting-edge Bordeaux Campus, between ocean and vineyards, we design and develop systems, equipment, and services to ensure the success of our clients' airborne missions.

As Industrial Supply Chain Director (M/F), you will be in strong interaction with the CCI Directorate, Quality, Purchasing, SPMs, DIGIS/ERP, and your main missions are as follows:

  • Pilot all logistics flows, from procurement to customer delivery, ensuring compliance, quality, and punctuality of deliveries in a regulated and international environment.
  • Pilot the SiOP (Sales & Inventory Operation Planning) process to harmonize the loads and capacities of industrial sites while meeting customer needs and ensuring an optimal stock level.
  • Play a key role in industrial performance and customer satisfaction while ensuring the robustness and resilience of the supply chain.
  • Lead a Global Supply Chain team of 200 people based in France, Singapore, and Canada.

1. Strategy and global steering:

  • Define and implement the Supply Chain strategy in coherence with the industrial strategy and customer requirements.
  • Manage all Supply Chain professions: logistics, procurement and supplier relations, planning and scheduling, with the help of business network leaders and site Supply Chain managers.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of Supply Chain professions (resources, means & investments, processes and practices…)
  • Deploy and improve performance indicators with the teams: OTD and customer delays, supplier SOTD, stock level and security coverage...
  • Manage logistics budgets and ensure cost control.
  • Manage logistics capacity investments (stocker, rack, internal Thales or external factory storage space)
  • Optimize external supply chain costs: external warehouse and transport
  • Management of export control and customs with specialized teams

2. Procurement and supplier management

  • Ensure material availability to prevent any production line stoppage through the implementation of high-performing standards and business routines.
  • Contribute to improving supplier performance by defining and optimizing flows and management methods.

3. Planning and industrial coordination

  • Pilot the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process to align production with commercial forecasts and industrial capacities.
  • Plan all needs, including spare parts and repairs, in the Procurement and Production Plan, relying on the ERP.
  • Coordinate flows between different industrial sites and partners.
  • Ensure the use of best planning and execution practices

4. Team management and development

  • Supervise and lead Supply Chain teams (planning, logistics, procurement, transport, customs, methods).
  • Develop the technical and managerial skills of employees.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence and adherence to aeronautical standards.
  • Manage the interfaces of its entity (other Thales sites, end customers, purchasing, Sales Administration activity…).

5. Transformation and innovation

  • Implement high-performance digital tools.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects (Lean Manufacturing, Insight, Kanban, VSM).
  • Integrate sustainability challenges: reducing logistics carbon footprint, optimizing packaging, responsible transport.
  • Ensure the adequacy of stock levels with APRU needs and contribute to the continuous improvement of the function to reduce work-in-progress, stocks, and lead-time in coherence with customer requirements

Your profile

  • Do you have significant experience of about fifteen years in Supply Chain professions?
  • Are Production processes, Repair processes, industrial management control, and the MYB process subjects you master?
  • Do you know stock management and flow management methodologies and have you already implemented continuous improvement and steering tools?
  • Are the ability to unite, influence, and work in an international environment recognized as assets?
  • Do you have an appetite for ERPs and, ideally, have you obtained the APICS Basic or CPIM?
