Job Description

INTERNSHIP - Digital Integration Logbook for IVV - M/F

Location: Elancourt, France

Let's build a future of trust together

Thales is a global high-tech leader specializing in three sectors: Defense & Security, Aerospace & Space, and Cyber & Digital. It develops products and solutions that contribute to a safer, more environmentally friendly, and more inclusive world. The Group invests nearly 4 billion euros annually in Research & Development, particularly in key innovation areas such as AI, cybersecurity, quantum, cloud technologies, and 6G. Thales has nearly 81,000 employees in 68 countries.

Our commitments, your benefits

  • Our technological expertise
  • Our attention to employee balance
  • An inclusive and benevolent environment
  • Recognized societal and environmental commitment (Thales Solidarity, CAC 40 ESG index…)

Your daily life

At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological centers of excellence. The diversity and technicality of the systems and equipment mobilize expertise in more than 80 professions in defense, high-tech security, and digital services solutions.

Within the engineering department of the Air Optronics Sector, and more particularly in the service responsible for IVV (Integration, Verification, Validation), you will contribute to improving the competitiveness of the discipline.

The IVV team produces a large amount of heterogeneous information related to the tests performed: configuration data, events (anomalies, failures, interventions), tests and associated results, traces collected on test benches and equipment. Some of this data is recorded in dedicated workshops, while others (test summaries, notable facts) are capitalized in paper or office integration logbooks (Excel, Word, Onenote).

Manipulating this dispersed data is time-consuming (data search and processing).

The objective of the internship is to draw up specifications, identify a suitable technical solution (backend and frontend), and develop the basic services.

The internship will mainly consist of:

  • Identifying with users the data to be collected (nature, frequency, size, format)
  • Analyzing existing components developed by certain test teams (test annotation and log/instrumentation collection scripts, Word/Excel files, test campaign management tools)
  • Defining with users (IVV team) the target use cases (injection, annotation, data search, data processing)
  • Defining an architecture that meets the specifications
  • Implementing basic services and performing benchmarks to evaluate performance at termination (number of simultaneous users and queries, data size)

Your profile

Are you in the second or third year of an engineering curriculum and have good knowledge in software development (e.g., Python) and databases?

Do you have an interest in system validation?

Ideally, have you already used Git?

Are you rigorous, pragmatic, and have a taste for innovation?

Then this internship is for you!

All our internships are contractual and subject to remuneration, the amount of which is determined according to your level of study.

Thales, a Handi-Engaged company, recognizes all talents. Diversity is our best asset. Apply and join us!
