Job Summary

Join the Group IT department at Thales, which has recently reorganized to integrate Business Units and IST/IT in a shared governance model. You will be part of the group enterprise architecture practice, working with French and international Business Units and group solution teams. As a Lead Enterprise Architect, you will be a key partner for the group engineering function, responsible for high-level architecture choices for group solutions, participating in budget decisions, ensuring overall consistency, defining global strategies for transformation programs, and collaborating with solution architects.

Must Have

  • Lead Enterprise Architect, referent and privileged partner of the group engineering function

  • Ensure overall end-to-end consistency for the function and in relation to other business and IT solutions

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, providing support for architectural impacts
  • Federate and animate expert teams and group solution teams on transversal subjects
  • Present the architecture strategy to all stakeholders and ensure their support

The Group IT department you will join has recently reorganized to integrate Business Units and IST/IT in a shared governance model.

You will integrate the group enterprise architecture practice and will work with French and international Business Units as well as in collaboration with the teams in charge of group solutions.

By joining us, your main missions will be:

As Lead Enterprise Architect, you are a referent and privileged partner of the group engineering function which has launched a major transformation program for engineers' workstations and working methods.

You are responsible for the Architecture choices (high level) of the group solutions ecosystem within the scope.

As such, you must:

  • Participate and assist in decisions within the framework of the definition of the multi-year budget of the function.
  • Ensure overall end-to-end consistency for the function but also in connection with the solutions and services carried by other business and IT functions.
  • In project/transformation program mode: define the global strategy of the solution(s) aligned with business expectations.
  • Orient then validate architecture choices during their update cycle.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects when the project is launched by providing them with your support in the event of an impact on the architecture.
  • Federate, animate expert teams and the teams in charge of group solutions concerning transversal subjects.
  • Present the architecture strategy to all stakeholders and ensure their support.

Your Profile

Engineer, university graduate, information systems graduate, you have confirmed experience of at least 5 years in architecture work (Business, Solutions, and/or Infrastructure).

Defining high-level architecture for a domain and/or master plans holds no secrets for you?

You have skills in modeling by a standard type (UML, BPMN), data modeling and analysis and/or architecture modeling such as Archimate.

Significant experience in enterprise architecture with the ability to have an end-to-end vision:

  • implementation of solutions in a multi-organizational framework such as PLM, ERP, tools used by software, system and hardware engineering… would be highly appreciated;
  • experience in data architecture and/or implementation of cloud migration projects and/or service-oriented architecture would be a plus.

Curiosity, autonomy, results-based culture, your interpersonal skills allow you to interact and collaborate with all types of profiles.
