Job Description

Mysteria Studio is seeking an Intern 3D Character Artist to play a key role in shaping the visual identity of their PC Action RPG. The role involves creating high-poly sculpts and low-poly models, ensuring consistency with the art team's vision, and producing game-ready assets for Unreal Engine 5. This is a fully remote, unpaid mandatory internship with flexible hours, offering a chance to work on a dark fantasy Action RPG inspired by Gothic and The Witcher.
Good To Have:
  • Experience working in Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • 3D character rigging experience
  • Experience working with MetaHumans and / or Marvelous Designer
Must Have:
  • Creating high-poly sculpts and low-poly models of characters
  • Work with our lead artist and art team to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of character assets
  • Understand and follow style guides & briefings to guarantee the consistency of our game art
  • Create game-ready assets given the technical limitations
  • Checking the 3D assets in Unreal Engine 5 to make sure they are rendered correctly and look realistic
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high-quality standard
  • Familiar with clean mesh topology and edge flows for character production
  • Experienced in 3D modelling (Max, or Maya, ZBrush) and realistic PBR texturing (Substance 3D) workflows
  • Ability to work in a self-organized manner within a team, while being respectful and an attentive listener
  • Minimum availability of 3 hours per work day to work on your assigned tasks
  • Comfortable with working in a 100% remote working team

Mysteria Studio is seeking a Character Artist for an intern position. You will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our PC Action RPG, for which your artistic and technical skills are of great importance. We offer a fully remote work arrangement with flexible working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating high-poly sculpts and low-poly models of characters
  • Work with our lead artist and art team to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of character assets;
  • Understand and follow style guides & briefings to guarantee the consistency of our game art;
  • Based on these, work independently on creating the 3D assets;
  • Create game-ready assets given the technical limitations;
  • Checking the 3D assets in Unreal Engine 5 to make sure they are rendered correctly and look realistic
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high-quality standard.

Requirements:

About Asterfel:

Asterfel is an upcoming Action RPG, inspired by the Gothic and The Witcher games series.

The player washes up on an island’s shore as a nameless nobody and must complete a large variety of quests to work their way up, to become a powerful hero. While monsters and magical abominations run rampant on the island, the player must quell an ancient god who threatens to rise again and wipe out the island’s inhabitants.
