Job Description

Mysteria Studio is looking for an experienced freelance 3D Creature / Character Artist to join their fully remote team. The role involves creating high-poly sculpts and low-poly models of creatures, ensuring visual consistency with the art team, and producing game-ready assets for a PC Action RPG using Unreal Engine 5. Candidates should be self-organized and able to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.
Good To Have:
  • Experience working with MetaHumans and / or Marvelous Designer.
  • 3D character rigging experience.
Must Have:
  • Creating high-poly sculpts and low-poly models of creatures.
  • Working with the lead artist and art team to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of character assets.
  • Understanding and following style guides & briefings.
  • Creating game-ready assets given the technical limitations.
  • Checking 3D assets in Unreal Engine 5 to make sure they are rendered correctly and look realistic.
  • Completing all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high-quality standard.
  • Experience working on at least one commercially shipped game as a character artist.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in artistic roles within the video game industry.
  • Expert in 3D modelling (Max, or Maya, ZBrush) and realistic PBR texturing (Substance 3D) workflows.
  • Ability to work in a self-organized manner within a team, while being respectful and an attentive listener.
  • Minimum availability of 3 hours per work day to work on your assigned tasks.
  • Experience working in Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
  • Comfortable with working in a 100% remote working team.

Seeking an experienced Character Artist specialized in Creatures for a freelance position. You will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of our PC Action RPG, for which your artistic and technical skills are of great importance. We offer a fully remote work arrangement with flexible working hours. Responsibilities: * Creating high-poly sculpts and low-poly models of creatures * Work with our lead artist and art team to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of character assets; * Understand and follow style guides & briefings to guarantee the consistency of our game art; * Based on these, work independently on creating the 3D assets; * Create game-ready assets given the technical limitations; * Checking the 3D assets in Unreal Engine 5 to make sure they are rendered correctly and look realistic * Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high-quality standard.
