Job Summary
Thales is seeking an AI solutions technician intern for hardware engineering in Cholet, France. The role involves actively monitoring AI opportunities, prototyping, and testing AI-based services for hardware designers (electronics, mechanics). Missions include updating dashboards, familiarizing with Thales's AI solutions, testing services, implementing solutions for user testing, and presenting findings to teams. Must Have
- Currently pursuing BTS/BUT or Bac +4 in computer science, data science, or telecom networks
- Initial experience in developing automation solutions (computer programming)
- Minimal background in technical engineering environment (electronics, mechanics)
- Foundation of knowledge in networks and IT
- Knowledge in data processing and personal use of AI technologies
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Python, Java, C++

Your daily life
Between Nantes and Angers, close to the Atlantic coast, our site in Cholet, predominantly R&D with a strong industrial footprint, specializes in defense radio communications, satellite communication systems, and cybersecurity solutions.
3 to 4-month internship located in Cholet (49)
As part of the continuous improvement approach to the efficiency of hardware designers (electronics, mechanics, etc.), the HTE (Hardware Tools Engineering) competence center wishes to embrace the new possibilities of AI.
In this context:
▪ We conduct active monitoring,
▪ We want to prototype and then test AI-based services for our designers.
The services in question may cover a wide range: assistance with engineering business information research, document/plan analysis, article database analysis, etc.
Your missions:
- Update our dashboards on opportunities offered by AI: short, medium/long term.
- Familiarize yourself with the AI solutions that Thales makes available to its personnel.
- Test one or more AI services to judge the tangible interest for our teams.
- Implement the solution up to user tests by yourself, as well as collecting user feedback.
- Synthesize and present to the teams.
Your profile:
Are you currently in BTS/BUT or Bac +4 training in computer science/data scientist or telecom network and looking for a 3 to 4-month internship?
Do you have initial experience in developing automation solutions (computer programming)?
Do you have a minimal background in a technical engineering environment (electronics, mechanics)?
Do you have a foundation of knowledge in networks and IT?
Ideally, do you have knowledge of Python, Java, C++?
Do you have knowledge of data processing and personal use of AI technologies?
Are your sense of organization, listening skills, and analytical mind recognized assets?

The Hardware & Components Workshop team provides hardware designers with services and solutions enabling continually improving efficiency (tools, environment, indicators, etc.).
All our internships are conventional and subject to remuneration, the amount of which is determined according to your level of study.
