This intern vacancy is within the Automotive Processors division of NXP. Our team creates solutions that are aimed at revolutionizing automobile connectivity, networking, efficiency and energy usage. Cars are undergoing a huge transformation into software platforms on wheels, as they move to become electric, automated & personalized. NXP are leaders in Automotive MCU & MPUs which provide the processing & networking power for these new architectures.

It is the role in the Systems and Applications Engineering team to fully understand the future trends of vehicle infrastructure and to support, introduce and demonstrate successful MCU & MPU products to meet these. These functions need clever and innovative application specific microcontrollers and microprocessors.

Role description

We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our group for this 3 months internship.  You will work with our expert engineering team on our state of the art products being used by automotive companies across the globe. Start date 2nd of June

Responsibilities

  • Assist our team of engineers as they create solutions for our automotive customers
  • Develop and test software and hardware elements of these solutions
  • Prepare reports and presentations on your work
  • Work with other interns and more senior colleagues on general activities for all employees on the site

Your profile

  • You should be in the penultimate year of study in Degree (Hons) in Electronic, Electrical, Software Engineering or other relevant degree
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English language)
  • Naturally structured and diligent, self-motivated
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
