Our commitments, your benefits
Your daily life
The Gennevilliers Campus is the heart of design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radio communications, resilient infrastructure networks and systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is quickly accessible by public transport.
The Cyberprotection Solution Engineering department conducts security engineering studies to protect its clients' (internal to Thales) systems or products. This engineering takes various forms: security expertise, security architecture, specification engineering, and applies to objects of very diverse sizes: from security components, to HW/SW products, up to systems, all for the purpose of protecting critical IT systems and communications. The department is heavily involved in security components.
In this context, the members of this department participate, among other things, in development work concerning the future of secure communications.
Internship topic:
Tactical interconnection networks ensure the transmission of critical information between units and a command center (C2). These networks, at the heart of military mission systems, carry sensitive data in real-time and are exposed to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Their evolution towards hybrid architectures, integrating the cloud for modularity, agility, and resilience, poses new cyber challenges, both technically and operationally.
Your missions
Internship objective
The internship will focus on analyzing cyber risks related to the migration of key functions of a ground-to-air interconnection network (communications, link supervision, etc.) into a secure cloud environment. The intern will also evaluate target architectures and propose a partial porting of functions to the cloud, in compliance with military cybersecurity requirements.
In this context, your missions will be:
