Thales is a global leader in high technologies specializing in three sectors: Defense & Security, Aeronautics & Space, and Cyber & Digital. It develops products and solutions that contribute to a safer, more environmentally friendly, and more inclusive world. The Group invests nearly 4 billion euros per year in Research & Development, particularly in key innovation areas such as AI, cybersecurity, quantum, cloud technologies, and 6G. Thales has nearly 81,000 employees in 68 countries.
Within the Tactical Vehicles and Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems (mortars, ammunition, rockets, etc.), force protection systems, and zone control. With its 450 employees, including engineers, technicians, and specialized workers, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site ensures research and development, production, testing, as well as all "support" functions necessary for the design of high-performance systems essential to the success of operational missions. Thales, with the German defense group DIEHL, has formed a Joint-Venture "JUNGHANS T2M" which has 165 employees, allowing both companies to combine their expertise in electronics and precision mechanics and thus become one of the world leaders in the field of ammunition fuzes. This Joint-Venture is also present at the La Ferté Saint Aubin site.
The objective of this internship is to model the dynamic behavior of ammunition in 3D and using the Simulink tool to obtain the vibratory response induced by flight conditions.
You will be responsible for the overall study strategy, focused on the implementation of different physical models, from design to validation, including integration.
Your main missions will be as follows:
Are you from a Bac+5 general engineering school background with a specialization in mechanics and looking for a 6-month internship?
Do you have initial experience with finite element simulation software?
Do you have knowledge in:
Are your curiosity, rigor, analytical and synthesis skills among your strengths?
All our internships are conventional and subject to remuneration, the amount of which is determined by your level of study.
Thales, a Handi-Committed company, recognizes all talents. Diversity is our best asset. Apply and join us!
