Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our Investments Sales Team at Mercer Mexico. This position will be based in our Mexico City office and will have national responsibilities across the country. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least three days a week in-office or on-site with clients and prospects.

As the Investments Sales Director, you will be pivotal in driving revenue growth and developing innovative sales strategies within our Investments business. Your leadership and expertise will be essential in achieving our business objectives and fostering strong relationships with prospects, clients, and stakeholders.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets and drive business growth within the Large Market / Institutional segment, focusing on Pensions, Insurers, Family Offices, Wealth Managers, Endowments, and Foundations.
  • Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to define sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and create innovative approaches to expand our client base.
  • Engage with key client decision-makers, influencers, and procurement teams, as well as outside search consultants, throughout the Request for Proposal process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, prospects, and industry influencers, leveraging these connections to generate new business and enhance the organization's reputation.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the retirement and investment sectors, integrating this knowledge into sales strategies and client interactions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of investment solutions to clients.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, pipeline management, and market trends, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop and execute targeted marketing initiatives.

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP, CAIA) are advantageous.
  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment strategies and financial markets.
  • Strong understanding of regulations governing investments for institutional investors.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies that align with business objectives.
  • AMIB license.
