Junior Game Developer

Playnetic is seeking a Junior Game Developer to join their innovative iGaming team. This role involves contributing to the development of casino games, focusing on game logic, animations, and visual features using a Java-based custom game engine. The developer will implement game logic, write clean Java code, perform quality checks, troubleshoot bugs, and optimize performance. The position requires collaboration within an Agile framework, working with various teams from concept to release. It's an opportunity to grow engineering skills and contribute to world-class entertainment experiences.

Must Have

• Implement game logic based on design and product requirements
• Contribute to visually engaging gameplay features and animations
• Write resilient, maintainable, and clean Java code
• Perform development verification and assist with code reviews
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs
• Optimize game performance for smooth player experiences
• Participate in standups, refinements, and retrospectives
• Work closely with Developers, Artists, Animators, Game Producers, and QA
• Support the full development lifecycle from initial concept to release
• Knowledge of Java Core
• Tech-related education or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong English skills (B2+ written and spoken)
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and absorb feedback
• Curiosity and a passion for problem-solving
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to work cross-functionally

• Experience with TypeScript
• Background in casino game development
• Familiarity with JIRA, GitLab, Maven

The Role

As a Junior Game Developer, you’ll contribute directly to the development of Playnetic’s casino games — from game logic to animations and visual gameplay features. You’ll be working primarily with our Java-based custom game engine, helping to bring slot, table, and crash games to life.
