Lead Principal Engineer/ Manager (Power IC Test)

Lead a team to develop automated test equipment (ATE) solutions for Infineon’s best-in-class system-on-chip (SoC) products. This role involves managing and participating in all phases of SoC product development, including test concept, DfT, test hardware and software development, silicon characterization, and product release. Responsibilities include documenting test requirements, incorporating DfT features, developing test hardware and programs, and supporting production release. The role also focuses on reducing test cost and improving quality through test method improvements and platform transfers, and evaluating new ATE platforms.

Must Have

• Lead/manage a team for ATE test solutions
• Develop test solutions for digital power management new products
• Document test requirements, concepts, and plans
• Incorporate DfT features into new products
• Develop test hardware using EDA tools
• Create and debug test programs in C/C++, Java, Vbasic, LabVIEW, and script languages
• Experience with Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, Ultra Flex, ETS systems
• Knowledge in design for testability and manufacturability, BIST
• Hands-on experience with bench electrical measurements and automation
• Minimum 10 years of experience in production test solutions for mixed signal ICs or modules using ATE
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, Physics or Computer Engineering

Good to Have

• Knowledge in digital and analog IC design environment
• Experience with pattern generation and verification

We are seeking qualified candidates to lead the development of automated test equipment (ATE) solutions for our best-in-class system-on-chip (SoC) products. This role allows you to manage and participate in all phases of SoC product development: Design, test concept, design for testability (DfT), test hardware and software development, silicon characterization, and product release to production.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Lead/manager a team to develop test solutions for Infineon’s leading edge digital power management new products including: ATE test concept, test package for wafer probe, final test production, product characterization and qualification
• Document test requirements, test concept, create test plans and develop test methods
• Work with design and concept engineers to incorporate DfT features into new products to ensure quality at low cost of test
• Participate in firmware development for test, embedded test and data processing, implement build-in self test (BIST) features
• Develop test hardware using EDA tools, using pre-existing libraries for printed circuit board (PCB) templates and component symbols
• Create test programs, convert ATPG test patterns, integrate with test equipment and hardware, debug and validate them on ATE
• Document and release test package to volume production, support silicon characterization and qualification
• Reduce test cost and improve the quality of existing test solutions through test method improvements and test platform transfers
• Work with industrial leaders of ATE to evaluate new test platforms and innovate new test concept for optimized test thru-put

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, physic or Computer Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience developing production test solutions for mixed signal ICs or modules using ATE
• Demonstrated skills in technical leadership, mentorship, problem solving, communications and teamwork
• Strong understanding of electronic engineering principles in areas including analog and digital circuits, power devices, and high-speed signal integrity
• Experience designing PCBs using schematic capture tools such as Cadence Allegro
• Sound test-programming skills and experience programming in C / C++, Java, Vbasic, embedded programming, LabVIEW and script languages
• Working experience highly desirable in Advantest V93K, Teradyne J750, Ultra Flex, ETS systems
• Knowledge in design for testability and manufacturability, BIST, test firmware and ability to articulate constructively with the design teams and product
• Engineering teams to insure that DfT is understood by all involved and specified and validated at early stages of development
• Hands-on experience making bench electrical measurements using signal generators, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, including bench test automation
• Knowledge in digital and analog IC design environment, pattern generation and verification a plus
• Demonstrated skills in technical leadership, problem solving, communications and teamwork
