Must Have

  • 2+ years of experience reconciling accounts.

Job Summary:

The Lead Recon Associate in Reconciliation demonstrates mastery in their domain and continuously expands their expertise in new reconciliation tools and processes. They identify opportunities to improve accuracy and scalability, offering solutions through collaboration with internal teams, leadership, and external contacts. They are regarded as a trusted advisor and consultant for the reconciliation department, supporting teams with complex tasks and projects to ensure client success. Additionally, they provide ongoing education on technology updates within their domain and often serve as consultants both internally and externally, covering the entire reconciliation process and system flow from aggregation to enrichment and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a trainer within their department, conducting 8-10 small group training sessions annually.
  • Ensures quality reconciliation and operational performance, adhering to client expectations and SOC 1 Compliance, and provides support for internal audit queries.
  • Recommends and advises on system improvements, monitors design progress, and prepares design updates for their department.
  • Proactively anticipates challenging assets, conducts research, and provides guidance internally and externally on expected challenges.
  • Leads, advises, and encourages others in automation initiatives, serving as a sought-after resource for the department and reconcilers seeking consultation.
  • Is frequently sought out by the department for recommendations and technical guidance on Recon Tool system problems.
  • Works with clients requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative, handling post-live reconciliation, automation, and process development for any client.
  • Demonstrates awareness of available resources and correctly identifies the appropriate tools for research in projects they are responsible for.
  • Collaborates with management to complete 2-3 projects annually that align with the department's strategic initiatives.
  • Effectively manages assignments within the team, balancing workload, client success, and leadership expectations to deliver on assignments and projects.
  • Is trusted to consistently deliver accurate, timely, and thorough responses to project stakeholders in both written and verbal contexts.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates projects to improve 2-3 strategic initiatives annually, leveraging Lean Six Sigma practices.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and collaborates with stakeholders to implement solutions that positively impact the department.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge in tooling and applications used in their day-to-day work, such as Recon Tool, Confluence, Outlook, Jira, Grafana, ACE, etc.
  • They have an intermediate understanding of all aspects of reconciliation, including the Clearwater End to End data flow and all system interactions related to reconciliation processes.
  • They have vast knowledge of Excel and are skilled in using various functions such as CW excel ribbons, MATCH-MATCH, PIVOT, SUMIF, COUNTIF, INDEX, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • They have intermediate familiarity with Clearwater-specific assumptions and functionality in the industry, making them a trusted advisor for any client inquiry.
  • 2+ years of experience reconciling accounts.
  • Preferably 1+ year in another department or team.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
