Lead Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications and services. You will lead and mentor a team of engineers, driving best practices and technical excellence across projects. Your deep expertise in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS, as well as API development, will enable you to contribute effectively to high-impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

· Guide the design, development, and maintenance of complex server-side applications using Java.

· Lead the development and enhancement of RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.

· Drive architecture and technology decisions to ensure high performance, scalability, and security of applications.

· Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for code quality and maintainability.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

· Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the engineering team.

· Play a key role in project planning, estimating timelines, and resource allocation.

· Collaborate with Product Management, Architects and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

· Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

Backend Development:

· Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java.

· Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.

· Collaborate with the team to design data models and database schemas.

· Optimize and troubleshoot server-side performance issues.

Frontend Development:

· Develop and maintain user-facing features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS.

· Collaborate closely with designers and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend systems.

· Ensure compliance with UI/UX standards and implement responsive and interactive web designs.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

· 6 - 8 years of experience in full stack development, with a strong emphasis on Java and web technologies.

· Advanced knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS.

· Strong experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

· Proven ability to lead projects, guide technical discussions, and mentor junior engineers.

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

· Experience with unit testing frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, Jest, Jasmine, Karma).

· Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.

· Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

· Familiarity with version control systems.

· Strong problem-solving, debugging skills and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· A proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and emerging technologies.

· Experience with agile development methodologies and a willingness to embrace and drive continuous improvement.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
