Join Nasdaq's team in Vilnius as a Senior Systems Operations Specialist, delivering and supporting high-performance, low latency trading systems. This second-line role involves resolving sophisticated issues, coordinating technical teams, and ensuring platform stability, resiliency, scalability, and performance. You will supervise operational health, analyze system trends, optimize resilience, and respond to incidents. Collaborate with various teams to resolve issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and drive process improvements. Maintain and update operational documentation, fixing manuals, and quick-reference guides.
Must have:
  • Handle resolution of sophisticated issues, coordinating between technical teams and partners.
  • Supervise operational health, analyze system trends, and optimize resilience and availability.
  • Respond to incidents as needed, ensuring both proactive and reactive support.
  • Collaborate closely with market operations, client success, and various technology teams to resolve raised issues.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and drive process improvements that increase reliability.
  • Take ownership of updating and maintaining documentation, such as operational procedures and fixing manuals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems.
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in application management, technical support, or a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and cloud platforms, including basic networking, virtualization, and cloud deployment models.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Proficiency with automation, scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, SQL), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management/infrastructure as code tools.
  • Ability to clearly document technical procedures, produce reusable knowledge base articles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work on weekends and off hours depending on business needs.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, Cloud Technologies, Kubernetes, or Agile-related).

This role goes beyond technical tasks—it's about ensuring the stability, resiliency, scalability, and performance of platforms that power the global economy.   • This position is intentionally structured as a second-line role; as a critical issue point, you will handle the resolution of sophisticated issues, coordinating between technical teams and partners to ensure rapid and effective problem-solving beyond initial fixing.
  • Supervise operational health, analyze system trends, and find opportunities to optimize resilience and availability. Respond to incidents as needed, ensuring both proactive and reactive support.
  • Collaborate closely with market operations, client success, and various technology teams to resolve raised issues, contribute to root cause analysis, and drive process improvements that increase reliability and enhance client experience.
  • Take ownership of updating and maintaining documentation, such as step-by-step operational procedures, fixing manuals, and quick-reference guides, so that team members and stakeholders always have access to clear and current resources.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems
  • At least 4–5 years of experience in application management, technical support, or a similar environment, preferably within a global organization.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and cloud platforms, including basic networking, virtualization, and cloud deployment models (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Proficiency with automation, scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby, SQL), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management/infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Ability to clearly document technical procedures, produce reusable knowledge base articles, and maintain high standards of operational documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, ensuring effective collaboration across teams and clear documentation for a global audience.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail and a highly organized approach to multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on weekends and off hours depending on business needs (to be agreed in advance).

What Would Be Helpful
