Job Description

Balio Studio is seeking a committed and rigorous Level Designer/Builder to join their design team for console and PC games (Switch, Playstation, Xbox, Steam). The role involves actively participating in game production, working on an old-school 3D platform game and an action-exploration top-down game. Responsibilities include maintaining design documents, creating 2D level plans, performing Unity 3D blockings, integrating game mechanics, adjusting AI, and iterating based on feedback. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Level Designer and good knowledge of Unity 3D.

  • Knowledge in the video game production pipeline
Must Have:
  • Keep up to date design documents describing the intentions and content of your levels.
  • Know how to make 2D plans of your levels and present your ideas orally.
  • Perform Blockings on Unity 3D.
  • Set up and integrate game mechanics and elements into the levels.
  • Adjust and use the IAs to create interesting situations in levels.
  • Iterate by integrating feedback from the various trades.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Level Designer on one or more games.
  • Good knowledge of the Unity 3D engine.
  • Good level of English and French (oral and written).

You will be under the responsibility of a technical manager and will work on an old school 3D platform game as well as an action-exploration game in top-down view.
