Job Description
Vogue seeks a lifestyle writer to join its fast-paced web team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of writing experience for a professional publication and a strong interest in weddings, interiors, food, royals, and travel but be fluent and comfortable covering subjects across all Vogue verticals.
Key responsibilities:
- Publishing 25-30 stories per month for Vogue.com, ideally a mix of breaking news and original content.
- Some administrative tasks, including invoicing, assistance with story production, image sourcing, and managing editorial calendars.
- Contributing across verticals to our fashion, beauty, and culture sections as needed.
- Collaborating with audio, video, events, and social media teams as needed to develop ways of telling stories on other platforms.
- Working collaboratively with global markets on relevant stories or packages.
- Maintaining strong editorial judgment and voice, with a clear understanding of Vogue’s tone and audience.
Ideal Candidate:
- Deadline-driven, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and to meet the pace of a digital-first role.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in magazine, newspaper, or digital feature writing.
- A strong portfolio of published work that demonstrates range, originality, and voice.
- Experience reporting on one or more of the following: weddings, interiors, food, royals, and travel.
- A keen interest in fashion, beauty, and culture, and an understanding of how to interpret those stories through a Vogue lens.
- Experience using a content management system.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $75,000-$85,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
