Our leading media and entertainment client is seeking a Linear Sales Planner to join its dynamic Planning team. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Linear Sales Planner Responsibilities:
- Manage a dedicated book of business, overseeing the RFP process from proposal generation through order entry across assigned brands and verticals.
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to implement packaging and pricing strategies in line with established rate cards and guidelines.
- Maintain and update the sales pipeline in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Execute budget revisions, including incremental spend, optimizations, makegoods, and cancellations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Ad Ops, Inventory Analytics, Streaming Solutions, and Measurement Solutions to support client requests and strengthen proposals.
- Work closely with Ad Ops to ensure smooth campaign execution, maximize delivery against contracted goals, and address client reporting needs.
- Partner with Finance to assist with the billing process.
- Communicate effectively with agency contacts on RFP deliverables and ad hoc requests.
- Identify opportunities to enhance pre-sale processes and recommend operational efficiencies.
- Support client meetings by preparing and reviewing industry and account-specific insights.
Linear Sales Planner Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in media sales planning and/or buying; linear media experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success working in a collaborative Ad Sales environment.
- Proactive, positive approach to managing day-to-day responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; full Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required.
- Eagerness to learn, with a demonstrated ability to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of media math and terminology is a plus.
- Familiarity with Operative One and the TV/media landscape is advantageous.
