WOONGJIN, Inc. is seeking a Logistic Operation Sr. Staff to manage global import operations, customs compliance, and freight pricing. The role involves developing operational plans, maintaining SOPs, building relationships with carriers, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Candidates need strong customer orientation, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a minimum of 3 years experience in logistics or freight forwarding.

Must Have

  • Strong customer orientation and negotiating skills
  • Background in import logistics, global import operations, and Customs Compliance
  • Develops and maintains operational plans
  • Provides pricing for ocean/air/trucking freight
  • SOP/Work Instructions maintenance and compliance
  • Responsible for developing and enforcing standard operating procedures
  • Builds relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal team members
  • Reviews KPIs for customer satisfaction
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics operations (import/export/trucking)
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry (Ocean/Air Carrier)
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint preparation skills
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and effective communication
  • Works well under pressure with a sense of urgency
  • Strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Good to Have

  • Warehouse (WMS) experience
  • Bilingual in English and Korean
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Job Description

  • Strong customer orientation and strong negotiating skills
  • Background in import logistics, global import operations, and Customs Compliance
  • Develops and maintains operational plans to include all business requirements of customers
  • Provides pricing for ocean/air/trucking freight with carriers, 3rd party logistics providers
  • SOP/Work Instructions maintenance and ensuring operational best practice in line with customer requirements as well as ensuring operational SOP compliance
  • Responsible for developing and enforcing standard operating procedures to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to shipments and transportation
  • Builds relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal team members, and helps resolve any freight problems that may arise
  • Reviews KPIs for each business and performance regularly for customer satisfaction
  • Learns and follows company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Performs ad-hoc reporting, as required
  • Performs other job-related duties as required

Salary: $29 - $34 /hr. (D.O.E)

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics operations (import/export/trucking, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry (Ocean/Air Carrier) for Sr. Staff level
  • Warehouse (WMS) experience preferred
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint preparation skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects while paying close attention to detail
  • Bilingual in English and Korean preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate openly and effectively
  • Works well under pressure and has a sense of urgency
  • Strong work ethic
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
