Job Description

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Specialist for Balancing, Assembly, and Test in Indianapolis, IN. This onsite role involves developing innovative balancing solutions, defining tooling, participating in capital projects, and improving technical skills. The specialist will work with Engineering Design and Manufacturing Engineers to integrate methods into assembly instructions. Candidates should have an engineering degree with relevant experience in dynamics, design, or manufacturing, and be a US Citizen. Must Have:

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop appropriate methods for incorporation into Assembly Instructions.
  • Work with tool designers and external vendors to define tooling, fixtures and machines required to perform balancing operations.
  • Participate in capital improvement projects procuring new equipment and tooling.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in dynamics, design or manufacturing disciplines; OR Masters Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with Engineering Design to develop innovative and practical balancing solutions for complex components, sub-assemblies and engine assemblies.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop appropriate methods for incorporation into Assembly Instructions.
  • Work with tool designers and external vendors to define tooling, fixtures and machines required to perform balancing operations for current and future assemblies in Indianapolis.
  • Participate in capital improvement projects procuring new equipment and tooling.
  • Improve your technical skills through internal and external training.
  • Participate in product verification audits.
  • Domestic and international travel – approximately 10%.
