Job Description

As a Material Planner, you will ensure material availability, optimize inventory, manage supplier relationships, and support product lifecycle processes, enabling efficient and resilient global supply chains.

  • Drive global inventory analysis and replenishment policies, including supplier-managed inventories.
  • Act as the central contact for global and cross-site suppliers, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and performance.
  • Lead product lifecycle management (PLM) and NPIs, securing timely deliverables and supporting quality standards.
  • Design inventory strategies, identify optimization opportunities, and transform supply chain insights into actionable solutions.
  • Monitor and manage OMM KPIs, drive corrective actions, and support production ramp-up activities.
  • Validate supplier orders, expedite when necessary, and ensure ERP/MDM data accuracy.
  • Identify and mitigate shortage risks, conduct cross-functional shortage review meetings, and build risk management strategies.
  • Lead process improvements, root cause analysis, and supplier performance reviews to strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of materials – from sourcing to delivery – while balancing efficiency, cost, and compliance.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and cost efficiency across the global Philips supply chain.
  • Minimal 2 years experience with a Bachelor’s OR 1 year with a Master’s in material planning, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel (mandatory), ERP, fluent English (written and spoken), organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, Operations Research, Data Analytics, or equivalent.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment, with proven cross-functional collaboration skills.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Minimal 2 years experience with a Bachelor’s OR 1 year with a Master’s in material planning, supply chain management, or related fields.
