Ozarks First in Springfield, Missouri, is seeking a Morning News Anchor/Multiskilled Journalist. This role involves being a newsroom leader and primary presenter, delivering clear, engaging content for newscasts, websites, and CTV apps. Responsibilities include presenting, writing, and producing news stories, ensuring journalistic integrity, acting as a field reporter, responding to breaking news, participating in promotions, and interacting on social media.
Must Have
- Present news stories and other content for linear, digital, CTV App, and social.
- Write and produce content for linear, digital, CTV App, and social.
- Ensure all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
- Write and deliver news stories clearly and concisely.
- Be a strong writer, copy editor, and researcher.
- Act as a field reporter or field anchor as assigned.
- Respond to breaking news and other urgent newsroom situations.
- Participate in promotional activities, including public appearances.
- Minimum five years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring.
- Superior on-air presence.
- Excellent news judgment with expansive knowledge of current events, history, newsmakers, and issues.
- Proficiency with all newsroom technology.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field.
- Fluency in English.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

- Experience guiding, directing, and motivating others.
- Ability to identify developmental needs and coach/mentor others.
- Ability to effectively listen and communicate with a team to shape solutions.

Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to ad lib when required.
- Minimum five years’ experience in news reporting or anchoring.
- Superior on-air presence.
- Excellent news judgment with an expansive knowledge of local and national current events, history, newsmakers, and issues.
- Experience guiding, directing, and motivating others.
