Job Description

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for fault isolation and resolution, configuration management of various network components, and performing network maintenance and system upgrades. The role involves supporting customers remotely, implementing network changes, and working with third-party vendors to resolve issues, all while adhering to ITIL processes and customer SLAs.
Must Have:
  • Perform fault isolation and resolution in accordance with SLA.
  • Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians test and turn-ups of WAN and LAN equipment.
  • Configuration management of LANs, WANs, Wireless LANs, network segments, security devices and Internet and Intranet systems.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configuration.
  • Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot within Incident Management, Problem Management and Change management.
  • Plan and implement network changes as per the ITIL change management process.
  • Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues.
  • Minimum 4 years of technology experience in a networking environment.
  • ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, Cisco APs, WLCs & Meraki devices.
  • Hands-on experience with HP Aruba switches, APs & WLCs.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, ACI.
  • Hands-on experience with SD WAN – Aruba Silver peak, Cisco Meraki.
  • Good level of understanding on the virtualization concepts.
  • Knowledge of Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google.
  • Knowledge of Infoblox IPAM and DHCP.
  • Hand-on experience with routers, switches, Access points and wireless controllers (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki).
  • Professional level certification in one or more fields (Cisco- CCNA, CCNP, SISE; HPE Aruba certifications).
  • Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies.

What success looks like in this role:

  • Perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical and thorough manner in accordance with SLA.
  • Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians test and turn-ups of WAN and LAN equipment.
  • Configuration management of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Wireless LANs, network segments, security devices and Internet and Intranet systems to ensure operability.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configuration.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot within the roles of Incident Management (Return-to-Service), Problem Management (Reason for Outage) and Change management.
  • Work with the engineering department to develop customer and device specific knowledge base.
  • Plan and implement network changes as per the ITIL change management process.
  • Meet or exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics.
  • Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Minimum 4 years of technology experience in a networking environment.
  • ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
  • Hands-on experience in working with the following:
  • Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, Cisco APs, WLCs & Meraki devices
  • HP Aruba switches, APs & WLCs
  • Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, ACI
  • SD WAN – Aruba Silver peak, Cisco Meraki
  • Good level of understanding on the virtualization concepts.
  • Knowledge of Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google
  • Knowledge of Infoblox IPAM and DHCP
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Hand-on experience with routers, switches, Access points and wireless controllers. (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki)
  • Professional level certification in one or more fields. (Cisco- CCNA, CCNP, SISE; HPE Aruba – Aruba Networking Certified Associate, Aruba Networking Certified Professional, Aruba Networking Certified SD-WAN Deployment Professional [ACSDP])
  • Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies.
