Sr. Principal Presales Solution Architect – Digital Workplace Solutions
The Digital Workplace Services Sr. Principal Presales Solution Architect acts as the pre-sales technical lead in deal support for End-User Services. The architect will integrate end to end solution design, technology, tools, deal strategy, transition, costing, and delivery into their overall solution.
This Architect is responsible for quality assessments of high risk, high value proposals for compliance, competitive technical approach, risk identification and mitigation planning. The Sr. Principal Presales Solution Architect will lead the technical solution through solution creation, risk mitigation, cost modeling and financial inputs, proposal responses, and client presentations.
The Architect will lead the required internal DWS governance processes for feedback and approval on each deal. The role requires regular interface with Unisys and Client director and C-Level management including the CEO, CFO and CTO.
The Architect owns the solution for all components from pre-sales through contract signature and handover to Transition and Delivery. Acts as technical support to sales and business development resources. Works alongside Sales as the technical liaison to manage the client buyer and solution owner (CFO, CIO) and selling the solution.
Consults with delivery and other solution architects and brings operational knowledge to ensure solution is deliverable at acceptable risk to Unisys. Develops and negotiates contract content to ensure the solution maintains design authority through delivery. Project manages any assigned solution architects to develop the overall architecture and costs. Identifies transformation opportunities including automation, service enhancements, technology implementations, and business layer design.
Unifies the team to build a value proposition showcasing Unisys's capabilities and how they meet or exceed client needs. Leads the writing and presentation of the overall solution and technical design to the client. Conducts and actively participates in client interactions, due diligence workshops, and presentations throughout the sales cycle. Leads solution review sessions and participates in contract, HR, SLA and SOW negotiations.
Stays current with IT market trends, product evaluations, and OEM enhancements. Speaks confidently about the external market and positions Unisys positively. Advises and recommends architecture strategies, delivery approach, processes and methodologies to facilitate client decision-making and steer their thinking toward the Unisys solution. Shares best practices and lessons learned to develop the Unisys proposition. Gathers inputs from diverse sources to create articulate and compelling propositions.
