Job Description

ByteDance's SMB New Business Development Team seeks a Manager to prospect, qualify, pitch, and close high-potential advertisers and agencies for the Ads Platform. Responsibilities include collaborating with marketing on lead generation, building and managing a sales pipeline, consulting with decision-makers to align Ads strategies with business objectives, onboarding new clients, exceeding performance goals, and working cross-functionally with marketing and in-country teams. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of SMB sales/business development experience, a deep understanding of the SMB industry, and a proven track record of exceeding targets. The role involves the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing and initial client management before transitioning to account management.

Responsibilities

From designing scaled sales and service delivery programs to ensuring our customers have best-in-class tools and products at their fingertips, our SMB team combines operational expertise with a customer-centric mindset to help businesses achieve their marketing goals, no matter how big or small. Our SMB New Business Development Team is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, pitching and closing high potential advertisers and marketing agencies for the Bytedance Ads Platform. You will consult with decision makers to help them incorporate Ads into their marketing strategies, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop best practices for client acquisition and sales, while building and managing a pipeline of opportunities, establishing new client relationships, focusing on revenue and bottom line business impact. Success in this position requires a passion for sales, supporting businesses, generating new business, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. You will: - Prospect, qualify, pitch and close new business opportunities for the Ads Platform - Collaborate with marketing teams on lead-generation initiatives - Build and manage a pipeline of business - Consult with decision makers and align Ads strategies with identified marketing and business objectives - Onboard new clients onto the Ads Platform and set them up for long-term success - Consistently reach or exceed performance goals, whilst delivering a best-in-class experience to clients - Working with customers not yet on the platform with the aim of leading the full sales cycle; from prospecting to closing a deal, managing the customer in the first few months before fast-tracking to AM. - Working cross-functionally with marketing teams and in-country teams to determine key growth industries, and execute this strategy.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above - Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in sales and/or business development - Deep understanding of Small and Medium Business industry Preferred Qualifications - Experience in pipeline building through prospecting and reaching out to new customers - Proven track record of exceeding performance targets
