The role involves pitching stories, conducting pre-interviews, in-depth research, and organizing show segments. The position is based in Washington, DC or New York, NY, requiring at least five years of television experience.

Must Have

• Pitch stories daily
• Identify top tier guests, cultivate relationships, and arrange guest appearances on the show
• Conduct pre-interviews and in-depth research on range of topics
• Organize and produce elements for show segments
• Monitor the latest news and locate people, images, and sound editorial information via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Dataminr, YouTube, and other platforms
• Find reliable guests/witnesses quickly during breaking news situations
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective communicator
• Detail-oriented
• Work well under deadline pressure
• Five or more years of experience in television

• A bachelor's degree is preferred
• Flexibility with your hours, as breaking news or major events warrant
• Willingness and ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings
• Experience with Lexis Nexis, ENPS
