Company Description
Today, when you go to your doctor and get referred to a specialist (e.g., for sleep apnea), your doctor sends out a referral and tells you, “They’ll be in touch soon.” So you wait. And wait. Sometimes days, weeks, or even months. Why? Because too often specialists and medical services are overwhelmed with referrals and the painstakingly manual process it takes to qualify your referral prevents them from getting around to it on time, or sometimes at all. Tennr prevents these delays and denials by making sure every referral gets where it needs to go, with the right info, at the right time. Powered by RaeLM™ Tennr reads, extracts, and acts on every piece of patient information so providers can capture more referrals, slash denials, and reduce delays.
Role Description
As an Office Assistant at Tennr, you will be the engine behind our NYC workplace operations. You’ll oversee day-to-day office administration, support the People & Operations team, and ensure our physical space and team logistics enable high-performance. You’ll uphold our culture of clarity, urgency, and collaboration, and serve as a trusted partner to leaders across functions.
This is a 5-days a week in-office role. We love being in our fun, high-energy, and slightly chaotic office, and we would like you to as well.
Responsibilities
- Ensure our workspace is clean, stocked, organized, and ready for the team each day. You’ll help with everything from keeping our snacks wall full to ensuring we have working dry erase markers in every meeting room.
- Welcome clients, candidates, and everyone who walks through the door with warmth and enthusiasm, ensuring every first impression feels like home.
- Partner with the People team to support a range of initiatives from onboarding and offboarding, team gatherings and social events.
- Partner with vendors, service providers, and building staff to keep operations running seamlessly.
- Assist with our seating planning and workspace setup as we’re growing and often playing desk tetris.
- Drive process improvement. Develop and refine office policies and find ways to automate and scale processes.
Candidate Qualifications
- You take ownership, act decisively, and don’t wait for others to tell you what to do.
- Strong organizational skills (perfectionists are welcome) with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and pivot as needs evolve.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a dynamic, high-energy office setting.
- A service mindset: you’re the “go-to” for internal stakeholders and you enjoy being the glue that keeps things running smoothly.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Why Tennr?
