The Operator Insert Bonding / Repair at Thales in Cannes is responsible for the manufacturing and equipping of high-performance composite panels and small structures. This includes tasks such as cutting prepregs, applying adhesives, draping, compacting, assembling composite panels, and bonding various inserts and carbon bars. Must Have

  • Manufacture and equip high-performance composite panels and small structures
  • Perform cutting, draping, compacting, and adhesive application
  • Assemble composite panels and monolithic parts
  • Bond structural and equipment inserts, and carbon bars
  • Perform small adjustments
  • Hold a professional baccalaureate (Bac pro)
  • Similar experience in complex industrial environments (aeronautics, automotive, space)
  • Knowledge of and adherence to industrial processes and instructions
  • Respect organizational standards for workspaces
  • Communicate precisely for shift handovers
  • Maintain workshops, including 5S and first-level maintenance

Your daily life

The Cannes site is responsible for the design of satellite systems & platforms, the assembly/integration/testing of satellites, as well as in-orbit operations. The site has expertise in optical instrumentation and avionics.

YOUR DAILY TASKS:

The structural operator ensures the manufacturing and equipping of high-performance composite panels as well as small structures.

He/she is responsible for:

  • cutting (prepregs, film adhesives, honeycomb boards, test pieces),
  • application (primer and film adhesives, draping, compacting, covering),
  • preparation of edge frames and various marble sheets,
  • assembly operations of the composite panel or monolithic part.
  • bonding of structural inserts and equipment inserts.
  • bonding of carbon bars by glue injection into titanium or aluminum fittings.

YOUR PROFILE:

Holder of a professional baccalaureate (Bac pro), do you have similar experience in a complex industrial environment (aeronautics, automotive, space)?

As a structural operator, you must:

  • Know the processes used (in particular, take note of and sign updates to our process instructions).
  • Respect the organizational standards of the different workspaces.
  • Respect the processes imposed by IFCA: no improvisation during the execution of our activities (No human error from unfollowed procedure or overconfidence).
  • Know your strengths and areas for improvement, and question yourself with an open mind.
  • Train regularly to improve skills, be more autonomous, and be more versatile.
  • Be proactive, autonomous, and a source of proposals for preparation and operations.
