Job Description

Lead and manage the payroll team, overseeing end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements. Develop and implement payroll policies, partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams, and manage vendor relationships. Drive process improvements and automation, monitor KPIs, and stay informed on regulatory changes. Requires 10+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role, with strong knowledge of payroll systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage complex processes under tight deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the payroll team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies, controls, and best practices to mitigate risk and ensure data integrity.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate employee data, benefits integration, and financial reporting.
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Monitor and report on payroll KPIs, providing insights and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field; payroll certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations (India and Europe strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Activpayroll, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex processes under tight deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
