The PPAP Coordinator will manage and coordinate the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new or revised Purchased Parts globally, ensuring all production parts meet quality standards. This role involves supporting global sourcing, uploading and reviewing PPAP documentation, and collaborating with suppliers, engineering, and supplier quality teams.
Must Have:
  • Manage and coordinate the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new or revised Purchased Parts.
  • Support Global Sourcing information to be reviewed by AQE’s.
  • Upload PPAP documentation from Suppliers to be reviewed by Aptiv Teams.
  • Ensure all production parts meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Work closely with Suppliers, Engineering, and Supplier Quality.
  • Manage Global PPAP system applications for AS&UX Division.
  • Proficiency in DSPA, Census, GES, Gencom, and PPAP Internal Aptiv sites.
  • Open AQE record in Census for Sourcing & Ariba information.
  • Coordinate with related Engineering departments globally for PPAP approvals.
  • Responsible for providing training on the use of the PPAP system globally.
  • Receive and upload supplier PPAP Packages into CENSUS system.
  • Review supplier PPAP Packages and request missing information.
  • Send approval/rejection/interim letters to suppliers.
  • Manage carry over approvals for similar parts from the same supplier.
  • Keep suppliers information in the system up to date.
  • Manage accesses for PPAP voters in CENSUS.
  • Communicate with suppliers about PPAP status and disposition.
  • Close the scheck/PPAP once approvers cast their votes.
  • Monitor schecks with PPAP Interim Approvals that need extensions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechatronics, electrical, or related field).
  • 2+ years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive Industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities.
  • English Fluent.

YOUR ROLE

The PPAP Coordinator on our team shall be responsible for managing and coordinating the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new or revised Purchased Parts at Aptiv ASUX Globally. This role support Global Sourcing information to be reviewed by the AQE’s, upload PPAP documentation from Suppliers to be reviewed by the different functional Aptiv Teams to ensure that all production parts meet the required quality standards and specifications before being released to production. PPAP Coordinator works closely with Suppliers, Engineering and Supplier Quality.

In your daily job you will:

  • Support all ASUX regions with Sourcing & PPAP process of Purchased Parts related to Supplier Quality.
  • Manage the Global PPAP system applications for AS&UX Division.
  • Use of DSPA, Census, GES, Gencom and PPAP Internal Aptiv sites.
  • Demonstrated leadership , responsible for the PPAPs area of Purchased parts.
  • Open AQE record in Census to add Sourcing & Ariba information for Eng. Changes.
  • Review Global Audit request, DUNS and address against Duns and Bradstreet and send it to schedule .
  • Update and maintain AQE Responsibility Matrix.
  • Coordination with related Engineering departments and systems globally, to obtain full PPAP approvals.
  • Responsible for providing training on the use of the PPAP system at a global level.
  • Receive and upload supplier PPAP Packages into CENSUS system.
  • Review supplier PPAP Packages to meet initial Aptiv requirements and request missing information from suppliers.
  • Send the approval/rejection/interim letters to suppliers.
  • Manage carry over approvals for similar parts from the same supplier.
  • Keep suppliers information in the system up to date.
  • Manage accesses for PPAP voters in CENSUS.
  • Communicate with suppliers about PPAP status and disposition.
  • Close the scheck/PPAP once approvers cast their votes after reviewing the documentation.
  • Monitor schecks with PPAP Interim Approvals that need extensions.
  • Continuous improvement in the PPAPs process by making it more practical and slim, eliminating the use of paper, time and useless efforts.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment living Aptiv values.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (mechatronics, electrical, or related field of study).
  • 2+ years professional experience in Consumer Electronics or Automotive Industry.
  • Interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a positive approach to challenge.
  • Cross functional interests, ambitious and self-driven. Adaptive, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects at once.
  • English Fluent.
