  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, ERPs/CRMs.

  • Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) certification.

Job Description

Hybrid role out of any of our office locations. The Pricing Manager will work with the Director of Strategy to drive and execute on strategic pricing initiatives for Wolters Kluwer’s Compliance Solutions business. The portfolio includes content, software, analytics and services offerings. Candidate will work with product management, marketing, finance, sales and corporate pricing teams to drive measurable impact on growth and profitability across the portfolio and instill pricing best practices across the Compliance Solutions Business Unit. The manager will address pricing for new products, feature/functionality, AI monetization, bundling and pricing levels both in the competitive context but also product lifecycle – to improve pricing at the product level, across products and also at a client P&L level to assist in winning new business and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets (e.g., customer, financial, usage data) to drive pricing strategies – at the product, customer or segment level
  • Perform financial modeling and price performance analysis to uncover opportunities for revenue, pricing and margin improvement
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to understand pricing trends and opportunities
  • Conduct, manage and synthetize quantitative and qualitative research to validate packaging and pricing hypotheses, test price metrics and assess willingness-to-pay
  • Work closely with product management, marketing, sales, and finance to identify inefficiencies and promote change related to improving Compliance Solutions’ GTM approaches around product positioning, packaging and pricing
  • Influence and advise cross-cultural & cross-functional teams leveraging strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Manage multiple workstreams against deliverables & timelines simultaneously involving multiple countries and/or stakeholders
  • Synthetize findings from multiple sources and complex analysis to develop fact-based, actionable recommendations supported by thought leadership
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of current pricing strategies, conducting deep analyses to recommend adjustments to pricing structures as needed, ensuring customer needs are met while maintaining organizational profitability.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a quantitative discipline
  • Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) certification a plus

Experience:

  • Proven and demonstrable work experience (5 years minimum) in a top pricing strategy consulting firm, or top strategy consulting firm with project experience in pricing
  • Experience across multiple product types including content, software, analytics and services would be optimal

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Knowledge of Financial Services industry (Banks, Insurance, Fintechs, Broker-dealers etc.)
  • Excellent conceptual problem-solving skills and highly analytical thinker, with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, and turn concepts into executable actions
  • Excellent ability to form judgements, develop recommendations, and make decisions based on existing available data
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to influence and lead projects across multiple products, with willingness to operate as an individual contributor as needed, and drive to closure - accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks/projects, set objectives and goals, break work down into steps, develop schedules, anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks, measure performance against goals, and evaluate results.
  • Professional interpersonal and relationship-building skills capable of interacting and communicating effectively (written and verbal channels) at all levels of the organization
  • Passion for commercial strategy and pricing – understanding of pricing metrics, techniques, surveys and pricing processes
  • High degree of operating with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, with high-level proficiency in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook, various databases, ERPs/CRMs)

Travel Requirements

Occasional project related travel in North America (less than 10%)

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $121,350 - $170,050
