Job Summary

Job Description

Responsible for project management, planning, budgeting, and control methodologies, including resource allocation, periodic reviews, and final project evaluations. This role supports the implementation of regional strategic projects, monitors execution of five-year plans, conducts risk assessments, and coordinates stakeholders. It also supports New Regional Interval and MCIP projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving consistency through the Project Development Process. Additionally, the role contributes to Operational Excellence initiatives by fostering continuous improvement and optimizing work practices.

  • Support regional strategic projects through program management.
  • Align cross-functional teams for on-time, within-budget project delivery.
  • Monitor five-year strategic plan execution and adjust as needed.
  • Develop and manage project plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide backup solutions.
  • Escalate open issues and risks to the Steering Committee.
  • Facilitate and coordinate meetings, agendas, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate relationships between business areas and stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress of deliverables.
  • Make effective decisions on project progression.
  • Conduct management reviews to monitor progress and resolve conflicts.
  • Support New Regional Interval and MCIP projects.
  • Build rapport and maintain communication with all stakeholders.
  • Align program scope with strategic business objectives.
  • Present strategic updates to South America leadership.
  • Escalate off-schedule projects and coordinate recovery plans.
  • Utilize Project Development Process for consistency and accountability.
  • Identify velocity metrics and optimize process milestones.
  • Support new parts launch activities for on-time, on-budget execution.
  • Support Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Improve daily work practices by eliminating waste and documenting standard work.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for project management, planning, budgeting, and control methodologies.

Resource allocation, periodic reviews, and final project evaluations. Responsible for the correct implementation of projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support the implementation of regional strategic projects through program management.

a. Promote cross-functional team alignment to deliver the organization's strategic goals, projects, and initiatives on time and within budget;

b. Monitor the overall execution of five-year strategic plans and make adjustments as needed;

c. Develop and manage the project plan;

d. Conduct risk assessments and provide backup solutions as needed;

e. Escalate open issues and risks to the Steering Committee;

f. Facilitate and coordinate meetings: scheduling, agendas, action items/follow-ups;

g. Coordinate the relationship between the business area and all other stakeholders;

h. Monitor the progress of deliverables;

i. Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options on how to move forward with the project;

j. Conduct management reviews to monitor progress, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues in a timely manner.

2. Support New Regional Interval and MCIP projects through project management.

a. Build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with stakeholders at various levels (from senior management to entry-level) within the organization;

b. Responsible for continuously aligning program scope with strategic business objectives and making recommendations for program modifications to increase effectiveness;

c. Present strategic updates to South America leadership for their knowledge and confirmation of plan execution;

d. Escalate projects beyond schedule and coordinate the development of recovery plans to maintain commitment to the financial performance of the South America region;

e. Utilize the Project Development Process to drive consistency, accuracy, and accountability across all South American Regional Programs;

f. Identify standard velocity metrics for project milestones/phases and recommend optimized process milestones/durations;

g. Support new parts launch activities to ensure projects are executed 90% on time, in accordance with the expected Budgeted Business Plan.

3. Support Operational Excellence initiatives throughout the South American organization.

a. Create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement;

b. Improve daily work practices by eliminating waste and documenting standard work;

c. Help define and create the best tools and templates for use by the regional organization.
