About the Role

We’re looking for a creative self-starter who loves entertainment and can lead our publicity efforts in the Philippines. You will have strong relationships with media, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and content creators/influencers; an instinctive ability to tell stories; and a strategic mindset. You’ll need to be curious but calm under pressure — able to build and maintain stellar relationships with both internal and external partners.

The Publicity Manager will work across the Netflix slate, spanning both local and international titles. You will drive innovative publicity campaigns for our Originals that cut across all genres — from action blockbusters to rom-coms, thrillers to live shows.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and a deep understanding of the market. They are unafraid to challenge assumptions and propose better approaches. They make tough decisions without agonizing, communicate candidly and directly, and thrive in an environment free from bureaucracy and hierarchy. The work:

  • Developing proactive, impactful Publicity campaigns that tie our titles and talent to our brand in conjunction with our marketing and social teams;
  • Crafting promotional strategies to support our brand, raise awareness of our service and promote our titles with a proven record of running successful publicity campaigns utilizing digital platforms and social media.
  • Serving as an expert on Philippines - in particular being able to convey its specific cultural needs and nuances within Netflix;
  • Acting as a strategic thought partner to our Marketing and Content teams;
  • Working to build strong external relationships within the media, influencers, KOLs, and creative communities - including showrunners, filmmakers and producers;
  • Knows how to create conversations and cultural moments for our shows and films;
  • Being confident enough to serve as a company spokesperson; and
  • Protecting and enhancing the Netflix reputation and brand in the Philippines.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have 10+ years of experience in PR or marketing within the entertainment or related industries
  • Think strategically and communicate priorities and goals clearly to stakeholders (fluency in both Tagalog and English required)
  • Understand the Philippine entertainment landscape and its key stakeholders (a strong network of industry relationships is a plus)
  • Have a deep understanding of how entertainment conversations are created, amplified, and consumed
  • Be an all-rounder who can work cross-functionally and build relationships across different time zones
  • Be a self-starter eager to test innovative ideas and campaigns
  • Love entertainment and be excited to share stories that bring local content to audiences around the world
  • Have a strong bias for action — able to be scrappy, adaptable, and effective under tight timelines
  • Be an independent thinker who can translate information into insight and strategy
