Job Description

Hasbro is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure product safety and reliability. This role involves participating in early product design reviews, acting as a gatekeeper for compliance with regulatory and Hasbro's requirements, preparing test plans, reviewing test reports, and following up on corrective actions. The engineer will also handle customer complaints, perform defect analysis, and monitor vendor performance to improve process control.
Must have:
  • Participate in early product design & development review.
  • Ensure products are safe, legal, and compliant with regulatory and Hasbro’s requirements.
  • Prepare test plans for individual products.
  • Review test reports and defect samples with engineering team and vendors.
  • Facilitate documentation of issues observed and check effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Perform FEP or PRP line audits of new products.
  • Handle customer complaints and perform defect analysis.
  • Initiate and follow up on Corrective Action Requests (CAR).
  • Monitor vendor performance and improve process control.
  • Perform statistical analysis on key parameters.
  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years’ relevant experience in QA Engineering, preferably in toys industry.
  • Engineering skills, problem solving, statistical process control, manufacturing process control, FMEA, Basic understanding of DoE.
  • Detailed, analytical and logical thinker with abilities in risk assessment, root cause analysis and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and software skills (Minitab, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI, Power Automate).
  • Persuasive communicator, good interpersonal skill and team player.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Regularly travel to factories for business in Vietnam, China and India.

Main Purpose of Role:

Quality is Hasbro’s top priority. For Quality, we aim to enable high consumer trust and brand confidence by ensuring Hasbro products are safe and reliable for our consumers. This role is to support Hasbro’s one of the strategic imperatives - Accelerate from quality engineering side.

Key Responsibilities

A Quality Engineer will participate early product design & development review to make sure we get it right first time. He/she shall act as a gatekeeper to ensure products are always safe, legal and in compliance with regulatory and Hasbro’s requirements during new product design and development.

  • Participate early product design & development review including check model (prototype) to make sure we get it right first time.
  • Gatekeeper to ensure products are always safe, legal and in compliance with regulatory and Hasbro’s requirements during new product design and development.
  • Prepare Test plan for each individual product adhering to safety and functional and regulatory requirements.
  • Review the test report and defect samples with engineering team and vendors during the development cycles. Follow up the corrective actions of vendors.
  • Facilitate documentation of issues observed and check effectiveness of corrective action during debugging.
  • Perform the FEP or PRP line audit of the new product. Review and disposition of PRP/QN reports.
  • Handle the customer complaints. Perform the defect analysis and follow up the correction actions of vendors.
  • Initiate and follow up of the Corrective Action Request (CAR).
  • Monitoring of the vendor performance and improve the process control.
  • Perform statistical analysis on key parameters to identify and execute corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years’ relevant experience in QA Engineering, preferably in toys industry
