The Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Aligning Business and Clinical Operational TINs (ABCOT) initiative and Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) ACO portfolio. This position involves cross-departmental collaboration to optimize revenue management strategies and ensure effective portfolio management. Responsibilities include analyzing MSSP data, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to value-based care initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of healthcare revenue management within the MSSP framework, suitable for remote work anywhere in the US.
Must have:
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks associated with non-primary care services within partner practices.
  • Partner with Market Presidents/Medical Directors, Performance Operations, and external partners to develop and present ABCOT solutions.
  • Manage and contribute to ABCOT and ACO composition projects by tracking key metrics and outcomes.
  • Support the implementation of dashboards and metric adherence, and prepare reports for leaders.
  • Support ACO composition by leveraging analytics to optimize practice placement into groups.
  • Collaborate with Growth and Field teams for ACO composition.
  • Support the Senior Manager, Revenue Management, by delivering analytics and visual materials for communications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, health administration, or public policy.
  • 4+ years of experience related to the business of healthcare.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and basic macros.
  • Proficient Google Slides skills, including storyboarding and drafting executive-level materials.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with complex stakeholder management.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Medicare Shared Savings Program and other health care business models.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues.
  • Experience and expertise explaining complex business concepts to stakeholders decision makers.

Job Details

The Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Aligning Business and Clinical Operational TINs (ABCOT) initiative and Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) Accountable Care Organization (ACO) portfolio composition. This position serves as a key liaison across multiple departments, collaborating closely with the Field Team, Performance Operations, Growth, and Impact Analytics teams to optimize revenue management strategies and ensure effective portfolio management.

The Specialist is responsible for analyzing MSSP data to identify candidates for ABCOT, supporting strategic decision-making processes, and contributing to the overall success of value-based care initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and a deep understanding of healthcare revenue management within the Medicare Shared Savings Program framework.

Candidates should be comfortable working remotely/work from home anywhere within the US.

Primary Duties:

  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks associated with non-primary care services (e.g., skilled nursing facilities (SNF), specialty care) within partner practices. Partners with Market Presidents/Medical Directors, Performance Operations, and external partners (e.g., Sound Physicians LTC ACO) to develop and present ABCOT solutions to practices.
  • Manage and contribute to ABCOT and ACO composition projects by tracking key metrics and outcomes, supporting the implementation of dashboards and metric adherence, and preparing reports to provide leaders with actionable insights.
  • Support ACO composition by leveraging analytics to optimize the placement of practices into groups, increasing the likelihood of achieving greater shared savings each year. Collaborate primarily with Growth and Field teams.
  • Support the Senior Manager, Revenue Management, by delivering analytics and visual materials for written and slide-based communications (e.g., quarterly departmental updates, ad hoc memos, practice presentations).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, health administration and/or public policy.
  • 4+ years of experience related to the business of healthcare.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and interest in quantitative research and analysis required; must have the ability to work with large, complex, & often incomplete data sets; create creative and scalable cross-team standardized tools and reports; and utilize Index / Match, XLOOKUP, and other advanced formulas, pivot tables, and basic macros
  • Proficient Google Slides skills required, including storyboarding skills, ability to translate complex analyses and concepts into engaging slides, and ability to draft executive-level materials with limited direction
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including experience with complex stakeholder management

Preferred KSA's:

  • Knowledge of Medicare Shared Savings Program and other health care business models.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues across an organization.
  • Experience and expertise explaining complex business concepts to stakeholders decision makers.
  • Experience using Google Suite, Excel, Salesforce, Tableau, and Monday.com is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed

Salary Range: $80,000-$92,000 base + bonus + equity

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
