  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient IT skills and ability to work with various systems

About the Role

We are seeking a Royalty Coordinator to join our team.

This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of royalty agreements, payments, and related author data. The successful candidate will support royalty operations, guide internal stakeholders on royalty procedures, and provide high-quality support to authors and editors regarding their statements, tax reporting, and payment inquiries.

The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in the financial and legal aspects of publishing, working within an international environment.

Role Responsibilities

Royalty Processing and Administration

  • Process and approve royalty agreements, payment requests, and related documents on time.
  • Review and validate royalty contracts and adjustments processed by the offshore team, providing feedback and training where needed.
  • Update royalty contracts, including payee transfers and amendments.
  • Coordinate logistics for annual and semi-annual royalty runs and review royalty statements for assigned entities.
  • Analyse and follow up on unassigned royalty sales reports and request missing contracts.

Communication and Support

  • Respond professionally to queries from authors, editors, and internal teams regarding royalty statements, payments, tax reporting, and sales information.
  • Provide timely support and guidance to the first-level team, editorial departments, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to ensure all document changes comply with company policies.

Financial and Operational Support

  • Prepare interim payments and one-off statements for missed or amended royalties.
  • Review payment runs and coordinate cheque distribution, as well as resolve returned payments or transfer issues.
  • Create journal entries
  • Handle incoming mail as required.
  • Apply for foreign tax deductions where applicable.

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

Essential
