Job Description

Aptiv is seeking a Sales Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with key automotive industry accounts in Shanghai, China. The role involves developing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, forecasting sales, negotiating contracts, and conducting market research. The manager will also collaborate with internal teams and report on sales activities to drive revenue growth and expand market share for advanced safety, electrification, and data connectivity solutions.

Must Have:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts in the automotive industry.
  • Understand client needs and objectives, and propose tailored solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issues, and escalations.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with internal teams.
  • Forecast sales volumes, monitor performance against targets, and report on sales activities and outcomes.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with clients.
  • Ensure contracts are executed accurately and in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive activities, and opportunities for growth.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales strategies.
  • Provide input to product development teams based on client feedback and market insights.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and account performance for management review.
  • Analyze sales data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) and recommend corrective actions.
  • Solid China OEM customer relationship.
  • Adequate sales tactics and negotiation skills.
