SAP SME

The SAP SME will be the expert for SAP modules (MM, FI/CO, PM, IS-U) transitioning to S/4HANA, with HRIS on SuccessFactors. This role requires 8+ years in SAP Functional Consulting and Testing, strong hands-on experience in various SAP modules, and exposure to ECC to S/4HANA migrations and Fiori apps. Responsibilities include regression planning, bridging knowledge gaps, coaching test teams, reviewing and standardizing test cases, identifying automation scenarios, and supporting test strategy and execution. The role involves liaising with clients and ensuring quality gates are met.

Must Have

• 8+ years in SAP Functional Consulting and Testing
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP-MM, FI/CO, PM, IS-U, & SuccessFactors (HRIS)
• Strong exposure to ECC to S/4HANA migrations and Fiori apps
• Ability to act as the go-to expert for SAP modules
• Experience in End-to-End Functional Testing (SIT, UAT, Regression)
• Experience with Defect triage and impact analysis
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive and business-process focused
• Experience with Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Jira

Good to Have

• Certifications: SAP MM/FI/IS-U/SuccessFactors, ISTQB
• Experience with TestRail

Job Description:

• Act as the go-to expert for SAP modules including MM, FI/CO, PM, and IS-U to SAP S/4HANA, with HRIS operating on SuccessFactors.
• 8+ years in SAP Functional Consulting and Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP-MM, FI/CO, PM, IS-U, & SuccessFactors (HRIS).
• Strong exposure to ECC to S/4HANA migrations, Fiori apps.
• Certifications (Preferred): SAP MM/FI/IS-U/SuccessFactors, ISTQB.
• Regression planning for SAP upgrades/patches.
• Bridges functional knowledge gaps across test teams.
• Soft Skills: Strong communicator, proactive, business-process focused.
• Coach and mentor the testing team by closing knowledge gaps and enabling deeper process understanding.
• Review existing manual test cases for functional completeness and business process accuracy. Refine and standardize them for effective regression and automation readiness.
• Ensure that the test suite is comprehensive and reliable for future SAP upgrades, ensuring maximum risk coverage with minimal business disruption.
• Identify test scenarios suitable for automation and collaborate with automation engineers to ensure business logic and functional flows are correctly implemented in automated scripts.
• Support test strategy, execution planning, defect triage, and stakeholder reporting. Ensure quality gates are met with clear test evidence and traceability.
• Liaise with client business users, BAs, BPEs, and QA leadership to align testing efforts with business objectives and timelines.
• Experience in Testing activities including End-to-End Functional Testing (SIT, UAT, Regression), Review and refine test cases, Defect triage, impact analysis.
• Tools: Azure DevOps, HP ALM, Jira, TestRail (preferred).
