Position Summary:

Marucci Sports is looking for a Saw Mill Lead! This role supports both production employees and management in the daily operation of the wood mill. This position involves overseeing various aspects of the billet production process, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist in all areas of the saw mill production process.
• Monitor production schedules, ensuring timely and accurate output of billets.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues and optimize production flow.
• Work closely with management and the production team to ensure seamless operations.
• Report daily activities and progress to manager.
• Act as a liaison between workers and management to address concerns and provide feedback.
• Oversee the operation of dry kilns.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of equipment to maintain consistent production flow quality.
• Assist in the maintenance of outdoor wood furnaces and vacuum kilns.
• Monitor and regulate temperature and moisture levels to ensure optimal drying conditions.
• Assist the sawmill manager in leading a production team of approximately 10-12 employees.
• Help coordinate daily tasks and ensure team productivity aligns with overall production goals.
• Trains employees in process and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures.
• Foster a positive working environment, encouraging teamwork and efficiency.

• Weekend and holiday availability to assist in maintaining outdoor wood furnaces and vacuum kilns.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• 4+ years of related experience
