The Scrum Master will facilitate agile ceremonies, guide self-organizing teams, promote cross-functional development, and implement process improvements. Key responsibilities include removing roadblocks, prioritizing work items, and ensuring timely delivery while keeping stakeholders informed.

Must Have

Job Description

Likewize is searching for a Scrum Master to join our team at our global Headquarters in Southlake, TX.

In this role, you will be assisting and managing the process to deliver Likewize global product platforms. You will be coordinating with Product, IT, Architects, Business, Product services in delivering features.

This position will work with development teams and help facilitate agile ceremonies as well as guide the team to be self-organizing and promote cross-functional development. This position would also help implement improvements to the current refinement process and develop a working relationship with Product Managers and Developers alike. This position will act as an escalation point for the team and will need to have strong communication and leadership skills to help teams prioritize work items for current sprints as well as help development and testing leads prepare for the upcoming sprints with backlog refinement.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitation of meetings to go over business requests, driving them through completion and keep all stakeholders informed of the status
  • Facilitation of scrum ceremonies for agile teams (Sprint Planning/Demos/Retrospectives)
  • Support Product team in prioritizing, moving along backlog items and new items coming through the pipeline
  • Support scrum teams by removing roadblocks and guiding team to achieve goals
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced working environment
  • Track metrics for the scrum teams throughout the releases and overall year
  • Prioritize bug resolution from QA within the current sprint
  • Prioritize bug resolution from UAT activities that occur at the end of previous sprints without impact to current workloads
  • Work across development teams to align on cross team dependencies and make sure teams are not blocking each other
  • Help facilitate resolution of issues during team’s work hours to make sure that working hours are not lost due to blockers
  • Coordinate with Product Scrum Master to make sure that deliverable timelines are met on or ahead of schedule to reduce just-in-time activities
  • Propose process improvements for development teams to ensure that sprint goals are set and achieved by teams

If you are who we are looking for, you will have the following education, skills and/or experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Scrum Master Certification preferred
  • 3 – 4 years of experience working in an agile environment
  • Ability to communicate across technical and business resources
  • Highly organized, self-starter with strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • JIRA experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, Teams
