Job Description

The Senior 3D Environment Artist will create environment objects and modular constructors for a large AAA international game in a realistic setting. The role involves seeking artistic solutions within technical limitations, collaborating with colleagues, and configuring work within the engine. The artist will be responsible for planning, modeling, and texturing environment objects, with a focus on realism. They will also need to understand the role of feedback and demonstrate a genuine desire to improve their skills. The position requires an understanding of the gaming industry.
Must have:
  • Experience in the gaming industry for over 4 years.
  • Experience in planning, modeling, and texturing environment objects.
  • Understanding the role of feedback.
  • A portfolio with examples of realistic environment objects.
Good to have:
  • Art education.
  • Understanding of optimization.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • English: Intermediate or higher.
  • Experience with game engines: integrating models, setting up materials, shaders.
  • Experience in creating modular constructors/high-complexity objects from scratch.
  • Experience in creating assets based on photogrammetry.

Job Details

Environment objects are essential in games, accounting for 70% of the visual content. The role of an Environment Artist is diverse and dynamic. Crafting small props allows for the refinement of existing skills, while designing significant location elements presents a substantial challenge that can significantly enhance both artistic talent and technical expertise. Responsibilities: * Create environment objects and modular constructors for one of the largest AAA international games in a realistic setting. * Look for interesting artistic solutions and find ways to implement them within technical limitations. * Collaborate with colleagues to solve complex problems. * Configure and see the results of your work in the engine. Requirements: * Experience in the gaming industry for over 4 years. * Experience in planning, modeling, and texturing environment objects. Experience outside the classic pipeline is highly desirable. * Understanding the role of feedback when working on large projects. * A genuine desire to improve your skills. * A portfolio with examples of realistic environment objects. Desirable Skills: * Art education. * Understanding of optimization. * Strong communication skills. * English: Intermediate or higher. * Experience with game engines: integrating models, setting up materials, shaders. * Experience in creating modular constructors/high-complexity objects from scratch. * Experience in creating assets based on photogrammetry.
