This role is for a Senior Concept Artist in Hangzhou, responsible for collaborating with the Art Director to significantly upgrade the overall art style and quality for the second generation of projects. You will complete core concept designs, build visual language systems, and ensure consistent game style by establishing design standards. The ideal candidate has over 6 years of experience, is proficient in game art concept design, skilled in cartoon style, and possesses a deep understanding of game aesthetics. Passion for commercial action/ARPG games is essential.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with the Art Director to define the overall art style, significantly upgrading the art style and quality from the first generation.
  • Complete core concept designs based on project requirements and build a visual language system.
  • Assist the Art Director in managing and communicating art team quality, establishing design standards and guidelines to ensure consistent game style.
  • Communicate and collaborate with R&D upstream and downstream to continuously refine and enhance visual presentation.
Good to have:
  • Experience in managing art production pipelines and tools.
  • Experience in directing high-quality 2D/3D animated shorts and storyboard design.

1. Collaborate with the Art Director to deduce the overall art style, achieving a significant upgrade in the overall art style and quality for the second generation based on the first generation's art style.

2. Complete core concept designs based on project requirements and build a visual language system.

3. Assist the Art Director in controlling and communicating the quality of the art team, establishing design standards and specifications to ensure consistency in the overall game style.

4. Communicate and cooperate with R&D upstream and downstream to continuously refine and enhance visual presentation.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above, with over 6 years of experience, and at least 1 complete lead creator experience for a small to medium-sized game project from 0 to 1.

2. Proficient in game art concept design, having led concept design for at least 2 game projects and understanding how to implement them.

3. Skilled in cartoon style and capable of deeply analyzing existing art styles.

4. Possess a profound understanding of game aesthetics, able to output easy-to-understand and executable content for the art team through aesthetic analysis and summarization.

5. Passionate about commercial game creation, with extensive experience in action/ARPG games at the experience level and deep understanding at the design level.

Bonus Points:

1. Experience in managing art production pipelines and tools.

2. Experience in directing high-quality 2D/3D animated shorts and storyboard design.
