We are looking for a senior engineer with solid expertise in high voltage for our Energy business unit. The Danish electricity system is undergoing rapid development, which brings both complex challenges and exciting projects. Our expertise in electricity and supply covers all aspects of electricity production, transmission, and distribution, as well as market analysis in all phases, from analysis to programming to operation of the finished plant.

About the role

You will be a key employee in the Substation group, based at one of our offices in Aarhus, Kolding, Aalborg, or Herlev. Here you will be responsible for both technical consulting and project management in complex high-voltage projects. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and colleagues, ensuring that projects are delivered with high quality and professionalism.

As a senior engineer with project manager responsibility, it is a clear advantage if you have experience with, and the abilities to, work with:

• Technical design and engineering of high-voltage systems.
• Planning, management, and execution of electrical engineering projects in collaboration with colleagues in the team.
• Advising clients and customers on technical solutions.
• Preparation of tender documents and contract negotiation.
• Ensuring progress, high quality in projects, risk assessment, preparation and maintenance of budgets, and ensuring timely deliveries.

You will also help further develop our methods and standards and contribute to a strong professional environment with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

You have a strong technical background and thrive on taking responsibility for both technical aspects and project management. You have experience with high-voltage systems and can navigate confidently in complex projects with many stakeholders. You are structured, quality-conscious, and have a natural ability to drive progress.

• A technical education as a power engineer, electrician, marine engineer with electrical specialization, or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the electrical industry.
• Documented experience with distribution, transmission, and high-voltage systems.
• Competencies in supplier management, contract negotiation, and management-level reporting.
• Experience with quality assurance, documentation management, and process optimization.
• Experience with project management tools.

The job requires you to work independently, be proactive, and maintain an overview. You communicate clearly and effortlessly with stakeholders, both in Danish and English, in writing and speech. At the same time, you use your relational skills to create coherence and collaboration across AFRY's business units.
