Job Overview:

Seeking a Senior Matchmove Artist to join the Milk France team. We are looking for a good communicator and a creative problem solver with a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in camera tracking and object tracking using 3D-Equalizer. You will be responsible for ensuring that shots are consistently matched with live action footage to a high standard, ready to go on to animation, lighting and fx. You must be based in France.

Responsible For:

• Camera Tracking, Object Tracking 
• Alignment and conforming of cameras with 3D set geometry in Maya
• Experience with layout and understanding of continuity and worldspace

• At least 4 years industry experience
• Good understanding of cameras and lens distortion
• Roto-anim experience using character rigs
• A familiarity with the VFX workflow
• An awareness of on-set processes and the requirements of matchmove
• An understanding of cameras, filmbacks and lens distortion
• Experience with 3D-Equalizer 8
• Good knowledge of the graph editor and animation within Maya
• Familiarity with Nuke
• Able to lead a  team of all levels, helping with tracking advice and guiding them on best practices and hard tracks, with an eye on the upward pipeline and preparing scenes for onward pipe steps. Maintaining good working practices and continuity of scene setup between the team.
