Job Description
Description
At Neostella, our mission is simple: empower legal teams to work smarter, faster, and more reliably. We deliver advanced technology solutions and satellite team support that streamline operations, boost efficiency, and transform the way firms and corporate legal departments work day to day. We’re relentlessly customer-centric. Everything we do is in service of making our clients’ work easier and helping them deliver better experiences to their clients. We’re also a true team: supportive, scrappy, and always in it together. We believe in showing up for one another, rolling up our sleeves, and celebrating the wins. It’s who we are, and it’s how we help our customers succeed. Neostella is in hyper-growth mode, leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve real challenges for our clients. And we’re looking for driven, people-first professionals to help us scale with purpose and heart. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Product Support Specialist to join our team!
Why this role matters right now:
Neostella is scaling fast. Our platform is handling more customers, more complexity, and higher expectations every quarter. The Core team builds the shared features that every other team depends on—and that means your work directly impacts how quickly the entire product can move.
This role exists because we need someone who can handle the technical complexity and ambiguity of foundational product work while keeping multiple teams unblocked and moving forward.
What you'll manage:
We need a Senior Product Manager for the Core team—the shared features and foundational capabilities that run throughout our legal case management platform. You'll manage the product components that both serve users directly and enable other teams to build on top of them.
Think permissions systems, core data models, foundational UI components, and infrastructure capabilities that need to work across the entire application. You'll partner with engineering leadership and DevOps to ensure these systems scale and perform.
This role demands strong technical fluency and the ability to work at a high level of abstraction. You'll navigate complex, interconnected systems where changes ripple across the product, balance competing needs from multiple feature teams, and ship capabilities that need to be both powerful and flexible. Curious what your day would look like as a Senior Product Manager? Check out the details below!
What you bring:
We're looking for leaders with grit, heart, and technical depth—people who can navigate ambiguity, make hard calls with incomplete information, and still show up for their team. Curious what your day would look like as a Senior Product Manager? Check out the details below!
Your day-to-day:
You'll drive the roadmap and execution for Core capabilities, working with your PM lead and engineering leadership for strategic alignment:
- Manage the roadmap for core shared features—permissions, data architecture, foundational workflows, common UI components
- Work with engineering and DevOps on infrastructure decisions that affect product capabilities
- Navigate highly abstract, technical requirements and translate them into concrete product specs
- Balance requests from feature teams against what the core systems can support
- Lead cross-functional teams through complex initiatives that touch multiple parts of the application
- Define specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for foundational features with inherent ambiguity
- Monitor system performance and user impact through analytics and feedback
- Coordinate releases across all product groups while maintaining stability
- Mentor junior PMs on managing technical complexity
Requirements
- 5+ years as a Product Manager at a tech company, ideally with experience on platform or foundational product components OR significant experience as a business-oriented Cloud Architect or Technical Program Manager
- Strong technical fluency: comfortable discussing databases, APIs, service architecture, permissions models, and system design
- Ability to think abstractly and work several layers above the implementation
- Experience managing highly technical product features with complex interdependencies
- Solid understanding of how software gets built: trade-offs, technical constraints, architectural decisions
- Advanced product fundamentals: specs, backlog management, release coordination across teams
- Sharp analytical skills and comfort making decisions without all the facts
- Self-directed—you need guidance on direction, not day-to-day execution
- Growth mindset
- Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
Nice to have:
- Experience working with DevOps or infrastructure teams
- Legal or Financial Industry Experience
- Background managing products at scale (high-volume data, complex permissions)
- AWS services knowledge
- Python or other programming experience

Why join this movement:
You'll work on the foundational capabilities that make the entire product work. The technical complexity is real, the problems are challenging, and you'll have meaningful influence over how we build.
This isn't about executing someone else's vision. It's about building something that lasts—with a team that has the courage to do it right.
