As a Senior Product Manager in the Compliance and Archiving business unit, you will build deep relationships with customers to uncover unmet needs, understand use cases, and vet solutions. You will also collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams to communicate problems and solutions, ensuring customer delight.

Must Have:
  • 8+ Years of Product Management experience
  • Proven ability to craft a clear vision, set outcome-based roadmaps and make trade-offs that balance risk, user value and commercial impact
  • Experience defining requirements for responsible and compliant AI-based features
  • Experience engaging with key compliance, legal, risk, security, and IT stakeholders
  • Experience gathering customer requirements and documenting use cases
  • Experience working with UX designers and engineering teams on solutions
  • Experience creating detailed competitive analysis
  • Ability to build a business case for investment levels
  • Ability to act as an evangelist for compliance solutions
  • Strong attention to detail in defining product requirements and business strategy
  • Proactively identify and engage relevant parties
  • Drive discussions to keep focus and achieve meeting goals
  • 'Read the room' to set the right tone and level of conversation
  • Manage priorities in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions to identify different solutions

Department Overview:

Proofpoint’s Compliance and Archiving business unit is looking to expand our team focusing on legal and regulatory compliance. Our group, based in our downtown Toronto office, has a friendly environment with the various teams working closely together to design and deliver ambitious, and exciting software solutions to meet the needs of some of the world’s largest companies.

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager, you will develop deep relationships with customers and prospects to uncover unmet needs, understand use cases and workflows and vet potential solutions. You’ll also work with other members of the Product Management team and engineering to communicate the problems, use cases and solutions in a way that allows the broader team to truly understand what a solution that delights customers looks like.

While not required, a background in legal and/or regulatory compliance may help accelerate your ability to be successful in this role.

Requirements:

  • 8+ Years of Product Management experience
  • Proven ability to craft a clear vision, set outcome-based roadmaps and make trade-offs that balance risk, user value and commercial impact
  • Experience defining requirements for responsible and compliant user-facing AI-based features in enterprise class solutions
  • Experience engaging with key compliance, legal, risk, security, and IT stakeholders
  • Experience gathering customer requirements and documenting use cases
  • Experience working with user experience designers and engineering teams in identifying potential solutions to identified customer problems
  • Experience creating detailed competitive analysis
  • Ability to build a business case to justify both initial and ongoing investment levels
  • Ability to act as an evangelist (both to internal groups, such as sales, and in customer settings) to promote the unique value of our compliance solutions
  • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail through defining product requirements and business strategy
  • Can proactively identify and engage parties to engage with
  • Drive discussions to keep focus and achieve the goals of the meeting
  • 'Read the room' to set the right tone and level of conversation for a given audience and situation
  • Manage priorities in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions to identify different solutions a given problem
  • Has a structured approach to prioritization and can justify their decision process
