Job Summary

Bohemia Interactive is seeking a Senior Programmer for their DayZ team in Prague. This role involves working on critical systems like gameplay, physics, networking, and internal tools to enhance the successful open-world survival title. The programmer will iterate on both gameplay and engine code, improve workflows, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with design, deployment, and QA departments.

Must Have

  • Quickly iterate on both gameplay and engine code to improve any and all aspects of DayZ
  • Use your senior know-how to improve DayZ’s current workflow
  • Mentor new and junior members of the team
  • Cooperate with game design, deployment and QA departments to address their needs
  • Minimum 5 years' of programming experience
  • Proficiency in C/C++
  • Ability to independently make decisions
  • Professional experience designing and implementing complex software systems
  • Good spoken and written English

Good to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Graphic Art or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience shipping and supporting a live product
  • Experience with console development
