Job Summary

This role involves acting as a key resource for Kafka expertise, providing guidance and creating materials to improve others' proficiency with Kafka. The engineer will collaborate with the Data Warehouse team to understand data inflow needs for reporting and analytics, and work with teams building event-driven applications and the Data Engineering team to ensure consumable data pipeline inputs. Responsibilities also include supporting Kafka initiatives related to security, software currency, availability, and data governance, as well as monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing Kafka infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

Act as a key resource for Kafka expertise, offering direct guidance and creating materials to help other technologists improve their proficiency with designing and implementing applications using Kafka
Collaborate with other members of the Data Warehouse team to understand data inflow needs required to support reporting and analytics
Collaborate with members of teams building event-driven applications and the Data Engineering team to ensure that the necessary inputs to data pipelines are being provided in a consumable manner
Support Kafka-related initiatives relating to security, software currency, availability, and data governance
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Kafka infrastructure and data flows to ensure that applications are able to execute against Kafka in a scalable, reliable, and efficient manner
