What your typical day will look like
As a SEO Manager you will work closely with and have the full support of your immediate client team, with a particular focus on working with the SEO Director to lead the delivery of client work and nurture the client relationship. You will own the development of the SEO Executive and Associates within the team, helping them to grow and deliver on client work.
This includes
Using your solid understanding of organic search and other owned media channels and broader digital ecosystem, be a subject matter expert for clients on best practices and utilisation of SEO tools and analytics platforms to solve problems – i.e. Google Analytics, Search Console, SERP insight platforms, SEM Rush, Ahrefs and others.
Run technical SEO optimisations, on-page optimisations, keyword research, content gap analysis and offsite SEO.
Support the undertaking on-page, off-page, technical and content audits, analysing client and competitor sites to identify issues and opportunities, maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards, strategy development, content creation and strategy and amplification.
Collaborate closely with your team on monthly activity plans for your team and support various project deliverables.
Supporting and working closely with the SEO Director to maintain team performance and capabilities.
Mentor, engage and enable your team to perform to a high level and fostering an inclusive and supportive team environment.
Nurturing internal stakeholder and client relationships day-to-day, building trust and identifying opportunities to expand on client scope, as well as creating case studies and awards entries for the great work you deliver.
A bit about you
Subject matter expertise across a range of SEO tools and analytics platforms, such as but not limited to, Google Analytics, Search Console, SERP insight platforms, SEM Rush and Ahrefs.
Experience performing comprehensive SEO Audits and analysis, technical optimisation, on-page optimisation, keyword research, content gap analysis and offsite SEO.
A good understanding of SEO Strategy, best practice and keeping up with developing market trends/tools.
A high attention to detail and naturally inquisitive.
Proactive communication skills with internal and external stakeholders and teams, able to effectively manage expectations and nurture relationships.
Project Management, time management skills, able to effectively prioritise.
A collaborative leader and mentor, able to develop juniors to grow the capabilities of the team.
Good experience with MS office suit, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
