Job Summary
Apple Services Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to build and enhance massive clusters hosting Virtual Machines and Containers. This role involves supporting and scaling cloud services for thousands of development and operations engineers, maintaining and enhancing SRE practices for a private cloud service to reliably deliver thousands of applications. Responsibilities include operating and monitoring production/non-production environments, designing and implementing solutions, preparing alert handling procedures, automating deployments, participating in capacity planning and disaster recovery exercises, and interacting with partner teams and vendors.
Must Have
- 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or infrastructure role
- Expertise in cloud operations (IaaS)
- Proficiency in Golang and Java
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Good to Have
- Experience operating large-scale multi-tenant Infrastructure as a Managed service
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack
- Advanced Degree preferred

Job Description
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience. Advanced Degree preferred.
- 5+ years in a Site Reliability Engineering Infrastructure focused role
- Must be an expert and have in-depth professional experience with cloud operations, with a focus on “infrastructure-as-a-service” (compute, storage, and network virtualization)
- Highly proficient in Golang and Java
- Experience operating large-scale multi-tenant Infrastructure as a Managed service
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack
